Here's the deal...if you used a NICE SHARP TAP...LUBED IT,
you will have a PERFECT FIT for ANY 1/8" NPT SENDER you choose to use.
Electrical or mechanical...this little PITA is behind you.

NO WAY the debris/metal shavings will travel this distance when you tap this hole.
Now...if you don't think you can PULL-THIS-OFF, the adapter is for you.
Or...if you are rebuilding your engine, now would be the time to do it.

Wow, I was searching for a way to hookup an oil pressure gauge to monitor my rebuilt motor, and I found this thread.
I was reading through, then I see the Sunpro adapters..I'm like- Hey I bought that kit at Autobone about 5 yrs ago! Cool! Look's like that kit will finally come in handy!
I wish I woulda tapped that oil port when I had the chance, but I forgot to do it. I don't feel comfortable tapping the plug with the motor in the car, so I'm going to just use the adapter temporarily.
Thanks man!

WARNING: Using the Sunpro BRASS adapters....that are NOT OF THE PROPER PITCH (cause they are not ) ONE WOULD TEND TO OVERTIGHTEN IT...CAUSING IT TO *FRACTURE*,
WHICH LEADS TOO, SNAPING-IT-OFF
We are aware of this problem because MEMBERS have stated...it happened to them.
USING A Q-TIP WILL VERIFY THAT YOU HAVE EXTRACTED THE SHAVINGS! Or...if you use the STEEL ADAPTER,
you'll CYA to SOS
STRAIGHT THREADS ARE DESIGNED TO HAVE A COPPER GASKET TO SEAL THEM AGAINST A *MACHINED* SURFACE
EXAMPLE: Your clutch slave cylinder.
BTW....ONLY A FRACTION OF THE OIL ARE DIRECTED THRU THE OIL FILTER!

I did an ENTIRE, PIC GENERATED...OVER-DA-FENDER.....*HOW-TO-TAP* (remove the air filter can etc)....but I accidently deleted that topic.
Just use a few Q-TIPS & CARB CLEANER (on the Q-tip ) to VERIFY......you got a CLEAN HOLE!
DO NOT SQUIRT ANYTHING INTO THAT HOLE!
THE STEEL ADAPTER....ADAPTS 28 TPI (threads per inch) to 27 TPI making it.....no tapping required.
You have OPTIONS....select what works BEST FOR YOU!
THINK....*EXTRACTION*....NOT EJECTION! (or injection)

BTW...there are OTHER TRAPS, YOU WILL WALK-INTO... Switching over to -AN FITTINGS ..... DO YOUR OWN HOMEWORK...AND USE THE RIGHT TOPIC
Fuel pressure testing? Use THAT topic...FUEL RELATED!
(tapping required!)
Or, order-in... SOME, QUEER-ASSED, "adapters".
PIPE-TAPS, you should own: Bout $9 ea.
1/8" x27
1/4" x18
3/8" x18
Sears, Lowes. Hardware Stores, etc. etc.
Is it... your FIRST, Rodeo?
What is your fuel pressure under boost?
